The beginning of El Comandante Producciones (ELC) can be traced back to the year 1989, when the founder and producer of today’s ELC Andreas Lukin founded the Klubi326, first rock club in Tallinn.
The first major event was the final concert of the festival ‘Youth Muse’ in Kadriorg Ice Hall quickly followed by a number of different festivals and concerts in several places in Estonia. In 1994, the legendary Pühajärve Beach Party series was started.
Experiences and contacts soon accumulated and the number of successful events continued to increase – concert and festival organisation had become a separate business sector that needed and also trained strong players.
In 2001, a bunch of friends diving in Cuba were entertained by a local popular song called ‘El Comandante’. Throughout the trip, the friends asked it to be played by every music group they met. The trip was characterised by a nice feeling, Cuban heat, and adrenaline from diving and traveling – the perfect combination of emotions to describe a successful event! And so, on the recommendation of friends, further ventures were made under the name of EL COMANDANTE Producciones – the logo of the company still bears the feeling of Cuba and El Comandante.
